Ilkeston FC brought in four new signings on Northern Premier League transfer deadline day.
Among them is striker Kane Richards, who left the New Manor Ground in December to sign for Chester FC in the Conference Premier and who has now returned on loan until the end of the season having already scored 12 goals for the Robins this campaign.
Goalkeeper Jack Wilson, 19, has arrived on loan from Gateshead as cover for first choice stopper Jordan Smith, whilst versatile attacking player Jack Watts has re-joined Ilkeston on a dual registration with Staveley Welfare, where he has most recently been playing.
Watts made 73 appearances for Ilkeston in the club’s first two seasons of existence.
Also arriving is defender Ross Colquhoun from Sunderland on loan until the end of the season.
Robins boss Kevin Wilson said: “With the end of the season nearly upon us, it would be a huge risk not having a second goalkeeper if a play-off place is secured which is why we’ve brought in Jack Wilson.
“We’ve also brought Jack Watts back and he will be a great asset to the squad, all of the new signings bringing us strength in depth as the closing matches of the season come up and possibly two play-off games too.”
Thursday was the last day Evo-Stik NPL clubs could make additions to their squad before the end of the season.
