Ilkeston FC captain Joe Maguire has followed former manager Kevin Wilson to Nuneaton Town.
Maguire, 23, had been with the Robins since the club was formed in 2010, having been originally recruited by Wilson for Ilkeston Town before the club folded.
He was a firm hit with Robins fans throughout his time at the New Manor Ground, twice winning the player of the year award.
Maguire told the Nuneaton Town website: “Kevin Wilson has made me a better player in the time I have spent with him, and I am hoping that improvement will continue at Nuneaton.”
Wilson added: “I am delighted to have been able to sign him. There were other clubs very interested in him, so this is a brilliant signing for us.
“He is a ball-playing centre half and was really unlucky not to get a big move last season. There were a number of clubs looking at him, but nothing got over the line.
“He will be a quality signing for us as we are building a squad full of exciting and hungry players.”
