ILKESTON RUFC have joined up with a scheme to get players in England playing touch rugby.
O2 Touch aims to increase the level of interest in rugby ahead of the World Cup in New Zealand in September, and the Elks are calling on local players to join in the fun.
Touch rugby can be played by all ages with mixed gender teams a regular feature. The simplicity of the rules allows players to self-referee matches and play almost anywhere with teammates, family or friends.
Ilkeston RUFC’s O2 Touch sessions will be held at The Stute on Hallam Fields Road on Wednesdays from 6.30pm until August 24. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun and more information about the club and the touch rugby sessions can be found at www.ilkestonrufc.co.uk or by contacting RFU community rugby coach Sean Wright on 07786 663549.
