Stanton Tennis Club finished this summer’s matches with creditable positions in the Derbyshire League.
The mixed team secured a second place promotion spot in Division Five whilst the men’s team came third in their division only missing out on promotion by having a slightly inferior sets tally to the second-placed club.
Meanwhile, the club’s coaching scheme continues to flourish and started again this week at the Sports Park.
On the outside courts front at Rutland Sports Park the club are in the middle of negotiations with the LTA and other bodies to obtain funding for the necessary resurfacing work to take place.
If successful it will mean a permanent home for the club whilst at the same time providing access to the general public.
