SANDIACRE Town suffered more frustration at the start of their season as the weather put paid to their trip to Ockbrook & Borrowash on Saturday.
The two sides are again expected to challenge for title honours, but weren’t allowed the chance to take key points from each other - the second time in the opening three games Sandiacre’s first XI have suffered a postponement.
l Sandiacre’s second XI had their match with Denby also postponed, but the thirds did see action as they emphatically won at Duffield.
The hosts batted first and Paul Standring was their main tormentor as he took 5 for 21 - Duffield all out for just 145.
The reply saw Sandiacre pass their target without the loss of a single wicket.
Matt Boyer (79 not out) and Chris Attwood (47 not out) did the damage as Sandiacre eased home in 36.1 overs.
