Sheffield show for Bull to plug debut album

Alt rock band Bull will tour to Sheffield in support of their debut album.

The group, whose music has been championed by Chris Hawkins and Steve Lamacq on 6Music and acclaimed by Elton John on his Beats 1 show, will play in Record Junkee on September 28 as part of a 17-date tour.

New album Discover Effortless Living, released on EMI Records, contains 13 indie head-bangers including the latest single Eugene and previous releases Disco Living, Green, Bonzo Please and Love Goo.

Commenting on Bull’s sound, Declan McKenna said: “They are finding really interesting ways to do these pop songs that I love.”

Bull have supported Squid, The Orielles, Pip Blom and a long-term hero in the form of Spiral Stairs (AKA Scott Kannberg of Pavement).

They have plied their wares in Europe, racking up unforgettable shows in Germany and the Netherlands.
