The Help (12A) is Quad’s latest Cine Babies screening, and takes place on Tuesday, November 22 at 1pm.
Parents or carers with babies under 12 months can come along to the screening at the Derby-based arts centre, situated in the Marketplace.
Based on the best-selling book, The Help stars Emma Stone, Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer as three very different women living in Mississippi in the 1960s, who build an unlikely friendship around a secret writing project that breaks social rules and place them at risk.
The Cine Babies scheme consists of special monthly screenings aimed at giving new parents access to grown up films, while the cinema is modified for babies’ comfort with house lights slightly raised and sound levels lowered.
Parents/carers can join Quad’s Cine Babies club for free. Please contact the box office for details. Please note there is no general admittance to these screenings. Cinema tickets for adults are £5.50 (£4.50 concessions), tickets for babies are free. For information, call 01332 290606.
