A fabulous range of locally-produced foods will be on offer at the Pavilion Gardens Farmers’ Market in Buxton next week.
The monthly event, next taking place on Thursday November 5, will feature the usual range of local traders offering fine foods including meats, vegetables, cakes and desserts, homemade preserves, chocolates and locally-produced cheese and eggs.
This month, due to the closure of the Octagon Hall, the farmers’ market will be taking place in the Pavilion Arts Centre.
Newcomers to the market are bakers Jo and Simon Connolly, from the ‘Café at the Pavilion’ in Buxton. They will be selling pies, cakes, tray bakes and pastries and their own selection of sausage rolls, jams, pickles and smoked garlic.
In addition to the fabulous range of local food on offer, visitors will find a delightful selection of homemade crafts from local traders.
The farmers’ market will run from 9.30am until 2.30pm. Admission is free.
From December onwards, it will be held in a new marquee on the Pavilion Gardens Promenade, until work on the Octagon Hall is complete.
This year there will also be two Christmas Farmers’ Markets, on Thursday December 3 and Wednesday December 23.
