Cash in with this top tribute at Flowerpot

Keep it Cash

Fans of the late, great Johnny Cash are in for a real treat at The Flowerpot on Saturday, July 18.

RAW Promotions are proud to present a band who are rated as the world’s best tribute to Johnny Cash - Keep It Cash.

They have performed at top theatres throughout the UK and across Europe and have also worked for 20th Century Fox, the National Trust and the BBC, playing music from the gospel beginnings, to the full band sound and finally into the critically acclaimed and groundbreaking American recordings.

They were booked by HMV to perform at their stores in London and Dublin for the launch of the Johnny Cash film Walk The Line. They wrote and recorded a theme song for the national chain of Boyes stores that ran on television and radio for over a year. The band’s success is down to the strong vocal likeness of the lead singer, which is very difficult to emulate.

The founding members of Keep It Cash have been close friends for many years and lifelong fans of the music and songs of Johnny Cash.

The show is a real musical experience with the musicians playing acoustic guitar, lap steel, electric guitar, double bass, drum kit, mandolin and electric bass with harmony vocals.

Doors open at 8pm and admission is £10. Advance tickets are available from The Flowerpot and RAW Promotions, as well as online at

n The Strawbs’ gig at the Flowerpot, which was due to take place on Friday, July 17, has been postponed until April 2016.

All tickets already bought for the July gig will be valid for the new date, which will be announced soon. The postponement is unfortunately due to band member Dave Cousins falling ill. Concert organisers RAW Promotions wish Dave all the best and a speedy and full recovery.

A Strawbs’ statement said: “I regret that due to a serious fall that has affected Dave Cousin’s head and kidney resulting in a serious life-threatening operation in hospital, the forthcoming Plugged Unplugged shows will have to be postponed.

“Due to availability etc, the earliest period that the shows can be moved to is the end of April 2016. Due to the uniqueness of the show it is felt that they should be rebooked as opposed to being simply cancelled, as the tour will not be repeated.

“I am sure this will come as a big disappointment to a lot of people but I am sure that under the circumstances everyone will understand the gravity of what Dave Cousins has been through and the decision to postpone. Once again – many apologies.”

Tickets already bought will still be valid for the new date.
