One of the area’s finest alternative rock bands - Dreaded Monkey - will play Ilkeston’s Davy lamp on Saturday, June 7.
Influenced by such outfits as Tool, Stone Sour, Muse and Nirvana, the four-man outfit, including members from Ilkeston, Heanor and Eastwood, has built up a solid reputation for quality orginal material and choice covers, including a hard riffing take on Come Together by The Beatles, and has played at some of the UK’s most prestigious venues.
These include Rock City’s main stage and also a performance to a crowd of over 5,000 at the huge Bulldog Bash bike festival.
There will be a local support band on the night and the first band will go onstage at 9pm.
Admission to the show at the Davy Lamp is free.
