Star singer Paloma Faith has announced a selection of new UK tour dates.

These shows will include a visit to Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall on Wednesday, November 12.

Her new single - entitled Only Love Can Hurt Like This - will be released on Monday.

The song is taken from Paloma’s third album A Perfect Contradiction, which shot straight to number two when it was released in March, and hasn’t shown any sign of moving from the top ten since.

The singer has been a major figure on the British music scene since the release of her debut album Do You Want The Truth Or Something Beautiful

The performance at Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall starts at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £35 – £27.50 and are available by going online to or by calling the box office on 0115 989 5555.

n Glee Club Nottingham has a bumper line-up of comic talent appearing there during May.

Zoe Lyons is familiar from her appearances on hit TV show Mock The Week while Tim Clark is a Comedy Store legend.

On May 16-17, the guest performers are to be Susan Murray, John Fothergill, Silky and Mike Wilmot.

Canadian stand-up Mike Wilmot is something of a loved legend in the UK, performing on the comedy circuit over here since 1998, and at the Edinburgh Festival - to great critical acclaim.

Mike’s effortlessly funny style is a fast-paced, hard-hitting comedic look at everyday life.

May 23-24 are the dates for a visit to the venue by Craig Hill, Simon Clayton, Phil Ellis, Mick Ferry (Friday) and Ben Norris (Saturday).

Craig Hill is arguably Scotland’s brightest comedy star.

Cheeky, irreverent and, of course, wonderfully camp, his hilarious blend of incisive stand-up, fabulous musical characterisations and improvisation has earned him rave reviews.

Finally, on May 30-31, there’s Matt Rees, Angela Barnes, Carey Marx and Simon Bligh.
