Matlock Town Council invite you to join them outside in Hall Leys Park this weekend for a range of activities with something to suit everyone.
Food lovers can fill their shopping bags on Saturday morning from 9am-1pm at the farmers market with a wide range of stalls from fresh bread to freshly cooked pizza and everything in between.
Cakes, jams and curry sauces are all on offer alongside freshly cut flowers, handmade soaps, uniquely crafted jewellery and Derek’s famous sausage cobs. Come down for a chat, get your shopping and watch out for Matlock Live, who will be there once again with their popular craft workshop.
From 10.30am, you can join the Saturday Unplugged event and try your hand at Willow Weaving, which is being used to create some traditional structures for shelter on the Denefields site. Experts will guide you and you could end up creating a permanent masterpiece, then take the skills home and recreate them in your garden. Meet at Hall Leys Park bandstand at 10.30am for this family activity.
On Sunday, Holymoorside Band will play in the bandstand from 2pm-4pm. Bring your family, friends and a picnic and enjoy traditional brass band music.
