The Classic Thriller Season continues its month-long stay this week at Nottingham’s Theatre Royal.
Presented by abs Productions and the Theatre Royal Nottingham, the season started with a production of Arnold Ridley’s popular offering The Ghost Train, which can be seen until Saturday, August 2.
After that, there’s Shadow of the Ghost from August 4-9. This is a comedy thriller, written by Nicholas Ridley and Chris Ponka. When the Lemon Tree Players decided to present a production of The Ghost Train, little did they realise they would be wrapped up in a murder mystery to rival that of any fictitious plot…
The third play in the season is written by Francis Durbridge, whose works always go down well with Classic Thriller Season audiences.
Fatal Encounter can be seen there from August 11-16.
After Howard’s wife, Joanna, has committed a fatal shooting, he admits to being responsible. However, how blameless can anyone ever be?
Brian Clemens is another writer whose thrillers have often found a spot in previous seasons.
This year, you can see his play Murder Weapon, from August 18-23.
