Jason gets those little grey cells

Former Heartbeat star Jason Durr is to take the role of Hercule Poirot in a touring production of Black Coffee, which can be seen at Derby Theatre from November 24-29.

The Agatha Christie Theatre Company production also features Harry Potter star Georgina Leonidas, wth Deborah Grant (Not Going Out, Bergerac), Oliver Mellor (Coronation Street), Gary Mavers (Peak Practice) and Ben Nealon (Soldier, Soldier).

Few actors come with sleuthing skills as sharp as Jason Durr, who continues his celebrated run as the diminutive detective in the Queen of Crime Agatha Christie’s espionage classic Black Coffee this autumn.

As the Belgian investigator, Jason is now set to get his “little grey cells” working in the celebrated crime collective’s latest production.

A quintessential English country estate is thrown into chaos following the murder of eccentric inventor Sir Claud Amory, and the theft of his new earth shattering formula. Arriving at the estate just moments too late, one man immediately senses a potent brew of despair, treachery, and deception amid the estate’s occupants. That man is Hercule Poirot.

Tickets to see Black Coffee when it is performed at Derby Theatre later this year are available on 01332 593939.
