5. Derbyshire Eco Centre and National Stone Centre, Wirksworth
Watch young musicians and artists exhibiting their talents in the free family-friendly Altitude Festival, on September 14 from 12 noon, which forms part of Wirksworth Festival.
Check out 70 creations on the scarecrow trail around the village of Duffield on September 14 and 15.
7. Buxton Opera House
Elesha Paul Moses stars in Whitney: Queen of the Night which will be staged in Buxton on Friday, September 13.
8. Shipley Country Park, near Heanor
A guided walk will kick off the annual 16-day Autumn Footprints festival on September 14. Free tea, coffee and cake will be on offer at the launch on Saturday at 10am.
