Prince’s £49,000 boost for Peak District hill farmers
The Farming Life Centre, based at Blackwell, near Buxton, is among 12 rural projects across the UK to share a grant fund totalling over half a million pounds from The Prince’s Countryside Fund, a charity, which strives to secure a sustainable future for the British countryside and wider rural economy.
Manager of the charity, Victoria Elms, said: “These grants will support the people, organisations and communities working tirelessly to preserve and ensure the long term sustainability of British farming, agriculture and the wider rural economy.”

Hide AdThe Farming Life Centre develops and delivers high impact projects and services which promote the health and well being of the residents of the scattered farming communities of the area.
The grant of £49,348 will continue to support the work of the Peak District Farm Business Support Project and Farm Business Development Officer for a further two years, supporting 180 farmers and 60 farm businesses.
