Chesterfield NHS couple's fun social distancing video has vital message in fight against coronavirus

A Chesterfield NHS couple have produced a fun, family video to promote the importance of social distancing during the coronavirus crisis.

Dominique, a paediatric nurse at King’s Mill Hospital in Sutton-in Ashfield, and Drew, a paramedic in Nottinghamshire, said they wanted to encourage people in a fun way.

And they drafted in their children Zachary, eight, and Francesca, six, to help get the message across.

Dominique said: “We have children ourselves so we want to protect our family, our work colleagues and the general public.”

Their message is: “We go to work for you so you stay at home for us.”

People across the country were moved by a video of York nurse Dawn Bilbrough and her despair at the empty supermarket shelves she was confronted with after a 48-hour shift tackling coronavirus.

The couple live in Chesterfield and asked if we could not use their surname.
