Coronavirus: 27 cases now confirmed in Derbyshire

The information, release by Public Health England, comes after the announcement that 676 cases have been confirmed in the country, bringing the UK total to 2,626.
Derbyshire County Council has not yet provided a breakdown of which area the cases are in.

Hide AdThe government announced earlier today (March 18) that schools will close indefinitely in a bid to halt the spread of the virus.
Speaking at today’s press conference (March 18), Boris Johnson said: “I can announce that after schools close their gates on Friday afternoon then schools, for most pupils, will stay closed until further notice.”
The Prime Minister also announced that exams would not be taking place in May and June, including GCSEs and A levels.
He added that he will ensure children due to sit crucial exams will get the qualifications they need.
