Chesterfield MP Toby Perkins has questioned whether former Chancellor George Osborne can combine his job as MP with his new role as a newspaper editor.

The Labour MP posted a tweet after it emerged Mr Osborne - who will remain MP for Tatton in Cheshire - had been appointed editor of the Evening Standard in London.
