Chesterfield woman, 28, charged with alleged theft from Superdrug and knife possession

A 38-year-old woman from Chesterfield is due to appear in court today, Monday, 21 December, charged with shoplifting and knife possession.

Sophie Pirie, of Station Lane, Old Whittington, was arrested on 20 December on suspicion of an alleged shoplifting offence at Superdrug in Vicar Lane, Chesterfield, on 18 December.

She has been charged with theft from a shop and possession of a knife in a public place.

Pirie was remanded in police custody overnight before a scheduled appearance at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court.
