Derbyshire police warn parents about 'sick' TikTok video

Derbyshire police are warning parents about a ‘graphic, brutal and shocking’ video being uploaded on sharing site TikTok.

The footage, which has been circulating on the platform for several days, has also been shared on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Officers from Clay Cross Safer Neighbourhood Team said today: “There's a graphic video doing the rounds of a man on TikTok committing suicide.

"It's graphic, brutal and shocking - and as quickly as TikTok remove it, sick individuals are re-uploading it.”

The app said it would ban accounts repeatedly uploading clips.

"Our systems have been automatically detecting and flagging these clips for violating our policies against content that displays, praises, glorifies, or promotes suicide," a representative said.

"We appreciate our community members who've reported content and warned others against watching, engaging or sharing such videos on any platform, out of respect for the person and their family."
