Do you know man wanted by police after alleged Chesterfield bus stop robbery?

Police have released this image of a man officers want to speak to about a robbery at a bus stop in Chesterfield.

Two friends were waiting for a bus at a stop in Low Pavementt at around 4.45pm on Thursday, July 1.

They were approached by a man, who asked one of the friends for a light for his cigarette.

A Derbyshire police spokesperson said: “One friend lit the stranger’s cigarette for him and it’s alleged that the man then threatened the victim and demanded his backpack before taking it and running off down the street and getting on the number 77 bus.”

Witnesses or anyone with information should contact Derbyshire Constabulary on 101, quoting reference 21*372406.
