Police attend crash 'between car and pedestrian' on major Chesterfield road

Drivers are being urged to avoid a major Chesterfield road after a crash between a car and a pedestrian.

Police received a call at around 3.50pm this afternoon (Monday, January 20) to reports of a collision outside Ringwood Hall on Ringwood Road.

It is understood that the crash involved a Hyundai Getz and a male pedestrian.

East Midlands Ambulance Service are on their way.

A spokesman for Derbyshire Police urged drivers to avoid the area if possible.
