Police probe after reports man was robbed on night out in Derbyshire town

Police have launched an investigation after a man was allegedly robbed on his way home from a night out in a Derbyshire town.

Officers in Alfreton say the alleged incident took place on Chesterfield Road, between the Wagon and Horses pub and the junction of Hall Street, between 2-3am on Monday, August 16.

Alfreton Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) said: “Did you see a man collapsed in the street? Did you drive past and capture any dashcam footage?

“The man has told officers he was robbed by some men while on his way home from a night out.

“Witnesses or anyone with information should contact us quoting reference 21*460618."
