Anyone who would like to show support for Abbie’s family and help raise some money are invited to the event on Saturday, February 21 at the White Lion in Breach Road, Marlpool, Heanor.

Chrloe Whitby, 18, who is helping to prganise the event said: “I was touched by the charity website that has already raised £4,000 for little Eva and Elouise, and we want to try and raise some more with this event.

The fancy dress party will offer face painting, kids’ games, a DJ, raffles and prizes, and a Jack Sparrowhawk impersonator – running from 3pm-7pm and on-going for adults.

Connor Percy, 18, from Marlpool works at the pub and it was his idea to hold an event.

He said: “I was always close to Abbie and there is nothing I can do now as except raising as much money as I can.”

Abbie was always a bubbly girl, always up for a laugh and I thought something like this would be the kind of thing she would want.

“She was one of those girls that if she was in a bad mood she would smile so that you would be happy.”

Mum Sandra Chambers, 48, of Park Road, Heanor, said she is eternally grateful to all in the community who are coming forward to help.

She added: “I’d like to give my dearest thanks – from the bottom of my heart, thank you to anyone who has donated to them.

“It will go a long way to helping my granddaughters later in life.

“I know Abbie would appreciate it.”

Abbie’s eldest daughter, Elouise, is doing her best to be mature, she added.

“She talks about her mum and how she’s gone to become one of the stars.”

Donations can still be made to the girls at www.gofundme.com/lqng6w.
