Lib Dems win Tupton by-election - called after ex-councillor attacked teen
Liberal Democrat candidate David Hancock has won a by-election in Tupton.
Mr Hancock will represent the ward on North East Derbyshire District Council after getting 340 votes in Wednesday's by-election.
Catherine Goodyer, for Labour, came second with 308 votes; Andrew Lovell, for the Conservatives, came third with 175 votes; Alan Garfitt, for UKIP, came third with 79 votes and Benjamin Marshall, for the British People's Party, came fourth with six votes.

Hide AdThe by-election was triggered following the resignation of former Labour Councillor Wayne Lilleyman, who admitted assaulting a teenager outside a pub.
