A bridge over the Midland Main Line – which links London St Pancras with Nottingham, Chesterfield and South Yorkshire – collapsed in the early hours of today.
East Midlands Trains, which operates services along the route, said: “A bridge has partially collapsed at Barrow Upon Soar and this means trains are currently unable to run between Leicester and Loughborough.”
