Out of control Marehay bonfire
Firefighters were called after a bonfire at a home in Marehay spread to two trees.
Yesterday, Wednesday, July 18 at just after 8.30pm Ripley firefighters were called to a garden fire at Poppyfields.
A spokesman for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue said: “The bonfire which had spread to two trees had been extinguished by the occupier upon arrival of our crew, who then used one hose reel jet to damp down the area.”
