13. 'My mum is so brave and I am so proud she is my mum'
Louise Dolby's young daughter said: "My mum Louise is the bravest mum I know. Last year was the hardest year for our family, my grandad passed away and went to heaven. He was my mum's best friend not just her dad. Life is so hard for mum and the family. We talk about my grandad almost everyday, remembering holidays and day trips. She's carried myself and her grandchildren through the most awful time of our lives.She has the power to put a smile on our faces when we've needed it the most.She gives the greatest hugs and no-one can escape her outstretched arms, it's either that or a clip around the ear.She makes everyone feel at home in her presence and judges nobody.I honestly don't believe I would be the woman I am today without my mum. 16. 'My mum did her absolute best to bring me up to be the person I am today'
Charlotte Mason said: "I had behavioural problems as a child (now awaiting ADHD referral many years later) and my mum did her absolute best to bring me up to be the person I am today, despite struggles! Up until last year she was on dialysis with very low combined kidney function, something she had lived with most of her life and resulted in her spending 10 years on dialysis. In May 2023 I was so proud of her having a kidney transplant, something she both wanted and feared to do.
