Man arrested after woman ‘injured’ in Derbyshire incident

A man has been arrested after a woman was reportedly injured at a house in Derbyshire.

Eyewitnesses said armed police were called to Highfields Road, Dronfield, in the early hours of Saturday.

A Derbyshire Constabulary spokesperson said: “We were called just before 2.15am on Saturday to reports that a woman had been injured following a disturbance at a house in Highfields Road, Dronfield.

“Officers attended and a 30-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.

“He has since been released on police bail, pending further enquiries.”
