She said: “I went into panic mode as our caravan was shut behind the gates.”

After arriving at 8.30am today and being let in by staff to collect her £30,000 Bailey Unicorn Madrid – which had been in for repairs – the gates were shut, said the woman.

However after police were called it is understood the gates were opened and customers were allowed to collect their caravans

This morning’s scenes come following the collapse of investment firm MBH Corporation, which acquired Robinsons in 2020.

Robinsons is one of 19 companies worldwide which MBH had taken on. MBH Corporation announced it would be going into administration on February 23.

It is not yet clear how the collapse of MBH affects Robinsons, as the Chesterfield firm is yet to make an announcement over its future.

The Derbyshire Times has tried to contact Robinsons this morning, however no-one was available for comment.

Amid the chaotic scenes at Robinsons, GW Caravan Services in Worksop announced this morning that is had received “many phone calls” regarding servicing.

The firm added: “We are doing our very best to open up as many servicing spaces as possible to try to accommodate ex-Robinsons customers who may need servicing completing.”

A listing for Robinsons on Companies House shows it was incorporated as a private limited company on April 23, 2018.

Records show that since May 2019 there have been eight director resignations from the business.
