An unusual 'asperitas' cloud over Baslow this week (photo: Anne Shelley).

The unusual ‘Asperitas’ clouds are more commonly seen over the Great Plains of North America - but this one tuned up over the Peak District village of Baslow.

The clouds are so rare they were not given an official name until 2015.
