Young rider loses control on Snake Pass

A young motorcyclist was hospitalised after breaking his back in a crash.

At around 1.30pm on Saturday, a 20-year-old man lost control of his motorcycle on the notorious Snake Pass (A57) road, near Ladybower.

The man broke bones in his back and legs and was taken to Northern general Hospital, Sheffield, for treatment. Despite his injuries, the young man is expected to make a full recovery.
