The batting recovery was due to Tom Knifton Smith (91) who had a partnership of 70 with Doug Howie (22) to bring some respectability to the score before being out agonizingly close to a century.
A final flourish from Joe Muir (38) pushed the Ashford score to 217 all out from their 40 overs.
The Eckington bowling attack highlights were Jake Booth (4-36), opener Oliver Hulme (3-19) and a wicket apiece for Steven Nicholas (1-16), Aaron Green (1-23) and Simon Cope (1-31).
