Former Chesterfield manager John Sheridan linked with manager's job at League One club

Sheridan was sacked by the Spireites in January with the club third bottom of the National League and five points from safety.
The 55-year-old is currently manager of Irish Premier Division side Waterford.

Hide AdBut according to a report in the national press, Sheridan is in discussion with the League One Latics about taking over as boss.
Sheridan was criticised last month when he reportedly called the Irish Premier League a “pub league.”
Waterford are currently fifth in the division after 10 games, with one win in their last five matches.
The former Leeds United and Sheffield Wednsday player was appointed manager in July.
